One the Waterfront (Stage 1)
One The Waterfront (Stage 1) is crafted, contemporary and connected – three key ideas that underpin the aesthetic for the development. Stage 1 comprises four perimeter form buildings around a central courtyard and a single building that defines a new park. The rich, visual nature of the architecture comes to life with clear and bronze tinted glazing, bronze metallic frames and gold finished vertical aluminium louvres which amplify the sun and animate the facades. The overall built form composition for the site consists of street defining, perimeter courtyard buildings, with one building set within the park. The built form is broken up into vertical parts; has disparate elements, as opposed to a continuous street wall. The built form is broken into elements, separated by openings which give clear visual and pedestrian permeability to the courtyards. Communal open space located on the roofs of buildings, connected by an aerial land bridge comprise planting, seating, BBQ and an outdoor cinema. The new park will provide new amenity for future residents. Stage 2 will infill the perimeter form to enclose two central courtyards and will define Amalfi Drive and the park.
